The Art Club will host their first meeting of the year during B shift Power Hour on Tuesday, Sept. 6th in Art room #34. Join us for treats and to plan the coming semester's activities!
Any sophomore who is interested in applying for Sophomore Leadership please see Mrs. Gruhn in Room 144 either before or after school or during A shift Power Hour. If you already applied last spring it is not necessary to re-apply. Deadline for new applications is Tuesday, Sept. 6.
Any students interested in joining the FIRST Robotics Competition Team 525 should contact Mr. Swartley through school email or come to a team meeting. The FRC team meets Tuesday evenings at 7:00 at 5547 Westminster Dr. New students are welcome at any meeting.
FIRST Tech Challenge Robotics teams will begin meeting next week. Students interested in being a member of one of these teams will need to complete an application available online (www.goo.gl/Y0EBfd). Applications are due by Friday, September 2.
If you didn't get a Chromebook case at registration or if the case was broken, please come to the library to get one. We still do not have cases for the Dell Chromebooks.
SENIORS: Get Ready!! Next week during Power Hour on Wednesday andThursday you will need to come to the auditorium on your assigned day for a short presentation about your senior year from the school counselors. You will also get measured for your cap and gown. Attendance is mandatory and you will have time to eat lunch!!

If you have purchased an activity ticket this school year, you must enter through the SW Entrance of the dome. You must have your School ID to be scanned into the game. Once leave the game you may not re-enter!

Are you interested in Physical Therapy as a career? St. Ambrose University in Davenport is having an Open House Event Saturday, September 17th. For more information on the Physical Therapy Program, visit the website at www.sau.edu/pt. Applications for admission to the program are due February 15, 2017. Class of 2017 is bringing Senior Hand Wall Back! If you missed it yesterday and would like to paint your hand, visit Business Lab 272 (Mrs. Cuvelier) until Friday. ALL handprints will be hung in the Science Wall for the year.
Join us for our 3rd annual DO BETTER. BE BETTER. 5K Run/Walk Color Dash on Saturday, September 17th at 8:30am at Pfeiffer Park in Cedar Falls. Money raised through this 5K will go towards a scholarship for one of our very own CFHS 2017 seniors. You can also earn 3 PE make-ups by participating.
