Stacking Those Lunch Trays to Help Our Earth

    Eating in our classroom has been a lot of fun, but when we’re done eating and head out to the hallway to empty our trays, that’s where the fun ends.  We see wasted food and garbage piling up in the cans. The first day both fifth and sixth grades filled 4 garbage cans with just our lunch garbage! Join Us for Kale Day on Friday, September 28th!

We have enjoyed a serving from our Farm To School team in all grades this fall. On Friday, September 28th, we will enjoy our annual Kale Day. We will use kale from our gardens as well as from local growers. Our 6th grade students will prepare the kale using the kitchen at First United Methodist Church which we will serve to each grade level in the afternoon.
