Class of 1970

Our class has embarked on a challenge to raise $50,000 for the Cedar Falls Schools Foundation in honor of our 50th class reunion, which will be held during Sturgis Falls weekend, June 26-28, 2020.

The response has been awesome with the cash and pledges currently received. Thank you to the classmates who have already committed -- please help take us over the top! Any amount is welcomed. Remember, the amount of your gift will be kept private through the Foundation. The committee will only know who has given, not how much.

How would the funds be used? As we work toward achieving our goal, we will gather input from you, the Foundation, and the school district on its priority needs and how best to distribute the dollars raised.

One possibility might be to keep it as a perpetual fund and use the investment returns annually to fund a need such as Excellence Grants to promote forward-thinking classroom strategies. Or maybe there will be a specific need for a science, reading, or art lab that could use the entire $50,000. Any project chosen would be named for the Class of '70. There are many needs and many options.

Our gift will be our way of saying "thank you" from the CFHS Class of '70. We want to generate a resource that will enhance and support the tradition of excellence of the Cedar Falls Schools and it will show our Tiger Pride!

Now, there are two ways to help with this goal:

●      Click here to download a Donation form and send it to the Cedar Falls Schools Foundation

●      Go to the online "Donate Page," then “Class of 1970 Fiftieth Reunion Fund” for a one-time or pledged gift and complete the requested information.

Please consider a one-time gift or an annual gift pledge for four years (2017 to 2020, see examples below):

$25 x 4 years = $100                   $50 x 4 years = $200                   $100 x 4 years = $400

$250 x 4 years = $1,000               $500 x 4 years = $2,000              $1,000 x 4 years = $4,000

CFCSF is a 501(c)(3) corporation, therefore your contribution will be tax-deductible to the extent of the law.  You will receive proper notification of your gift from the CFCSF.

If you have questions, you may contact any one of us on the project committee.

Thank you for your support! See you in 2020!
