My name is Erika Heider and I am a first grade teacher at Hansen Elementary. I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa and previously taught at a small, private school for two years. I'm so eager to continue to expand my knowledge of the lower grades and work with my positive, caring team! Working as a Cedar Falls teacher gives me the chance to serve the kids and their parents in the community my life is starting to form in; I feel incredibly fortunate to have that opportunity. One might be able to find me incorporating my musical hobbies into my classroom instruction, or doing something goofy to help make my students feel more comfortable or confident when they make a mistake.
