Weekly Update

Dear Hansen families, 

Last week was a creative and spirit-filled week at Hansen! Thank you for helping your student join in the fun of dress-up days! Here are a few items of information: 

Yearbooks and School Pictures: 

• Yearbooks from the 2019-2020 school year have arrived and been sent home with students. We have a few yearbooks available for purchase ($15 cash or check made out to Hansen PTA) in the Hansen office. School pictures from this fall have also been distributed and sent home with students. Picture retake day has been scheduled for October 14th. The original pictures will need to accompany the student on retake day. 

Cedar Falls Football Games: 

• We are fortunate to have a partnership with UNI that allows us to continue to host our football games in the Dome. With this partnership, we have provided UNI assurances for how we will meet their expectations and provide the safest possible environment. Our goal is to communicate our assurances so we can continue to allow our fans the opportunity to attend the events of our student-athletes in-person. We are also fortunate to have Channel 15 televise our games in the event these assurances aren’t comfortable for you. 
• Spectators will sit every third row, starting at row three. This will be clearly marked.
• The junior high and high school student sections must have an open seat in between every student.
• Elementary students must enter and stay with an adult at all times. Elementary students without an adult accompanying them during the game will be asked to leave with the adult who brought the student.
• All students are expected to stay in the stands. Using the restroom and concessions should be limited and walking around will not be allowed.
• All fans - household members may sit together in pods but we must leave at least four seats open to the left and right, separating household pods. When seated in your pod, masks may be removed to eat and drink only. 
• All spectators must wear masks at all times.
