Cedar Falls Community Schools is committed to serving every student, every day. It is important to remember in times of contention and political discord, that our support for ALL students does not waiver. This will always include any marginalized group of students. We want to specifically show our support for our LGBTQ+ students as legislation is debated and/or passed that impacts them directly.

In Cedar Falls Schools we recognize that prejudice exists within our school system, and has for a long time. Time and again we are shown that racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia and beyond are far from being things of the past. Prejudice, discrimination, and other ill-treatment on the basis of identity have caused harm within our community, and will continue to cause harm if left unaddressed. As a school district we are committing to doing better. The process of undoing some of the harm that has been done by hatred in our community is long and will require careful thought, education, and a commitment to positive change.
