The Cedar Falls School District has been a tradition of excellence in the community for more than 165 years. 

Today we are the 17th largest in the state of Iowa, serving more than 5,300 students. As one of the largest employers in Black Hawk County, the school district has nearly 800 employees; full and part time.

Cedar Falls is a thriving midwest city of 39,260 residents, in a population center of 100,000-plus. The city is situated on the crossroads of interstates 20 and 218. Cedar Falls is less than a four-hour drive from Minneapolis, Chicago, St. Louis, and Omaha. Commonly referred to as the Cedar Valley, it offers all the amenities of larger urban areas, but with a hometown environment.

Generally, open positions are first posted internally for consideration by existing staff. Positions which are available to prospective external applicants are made public via the District website, newspaper and/or placement service listings on the Internet.
