PEET JUNIOR HIGH DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS

Today is Monday, May 13th a B Day.


No bus for Echoes today. If you plan to stay for Echoes after school today, you must make your own arrangements to get home.


Any 9th grade boy interested in playing basketball next year please plan to attend an informational meeting in Coach Joachim's room today during Tiger Time.


Any 7th & 8th graders interested in Cheerleading this summer and fall should attend a parent/athlete meeting on May 16th at 5:30pm in the Peet Cafeteria.


Congratulations to all of the ladies who participated in the Metro meet last Friday. It was a great night with a lot of personal records set! Congrats to the 8th-grade team for placing 1st and to our 7th-grade team for their 2nd place finish.


A special congratulations to our shuttle hurdle team consisting of Alisyn Mueller, Ella Svoboda, Katie Thompson, and Johnna Dieken for setting an all-time metro record and breaking the school record with a time of 1:13.13.


On Friday the 7th grade boys track team got 2nd in the Metro meet.

Congratulations go to the 8th grade boys team for winning Back to Back Metro titles. At the meet Jacob Kieler tied the metro and school record with a high jump of 5 feet 10 inches. Keegan Wheelock broke the school record in the 100 meter dash, Eric Lucas broke the Metro record in the 100 meter hurdles and the 4 x 100 team of Eric Lucas, Jacob Kieler, Josh Hansen, and Keegan Wheelock broke a 37 year old school record. Way to go guys!


Congratulations to our 9th graders who qualified for State Track!  Anisia qualified for State in the 4x200 and 4x100 relays and the 100 meter and 200 meter. Maddy McFarland qualified in 100 meter hurdles and shuttle hurdle relay. Myah Brinker qualified in Discus. Congratulations!


Congratulations to Noel Thomas and Elliot Purdum on an outstanding performance in the ISTA State Conference Honors Orchestra on Saturday!  Noel and Elliot were selected among the top musicians in our state to participate in the orchestra last Saturday in Iowa City. Way to go!


Today’s lunch will be: BBQ Beef Sandwich, Cheese Bread, Spaghetti Salad, Mixed Vegetables, Veggie Bar, and Strawberry Applesauce.
