PEET JUNIOR HIGH DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS

Today is Monday, February 4th a B Day.


8th Grade Boys Basketball will be dismissed at 2:40 today.


Any 9th Grade Girl interested in signing up for Golf this spring, please sign up in the front office by Wednesday at 3:00pm. The coach will contact all of those interested with more information.


Any 9th grade boy interested in Boy's Track & Field should attend a meeting Monday, February 4th at 3:05pm

in Room 13.  If you are unable to attend, please sign-up in the main office to receive information about the upcoming 2019 Track & Field Season.


8th Grade students, this Wednesday we will have hearing checks in the office conference room.  You will receive a pass right away during period 1 with a time to report to the office. Please make sure to report at your time listed. Please see the office with questions.


Several students from Peet participated in District Basketball Skills at UNI on Saturday. Breezy Ryan and Emerson Linney placed first in their divisions.  Isaac Purdy and Alex Cunningham received second place finishes and Javan Wegener and Joey Elser placed third in their divisions. Breezy and Emerson have qualified for the state competition which will be held in Iowa City in March. Congratulations everyone!


February bus passes are on sale at the Lunch Window.  The cost for a two way pass is $50.00 and a one way pass is $25.00.  Any student that rides the bus and does not have a sticker on his/her ID, must purchase a bus pass to be able to ride the bus.


Today’s lunch will be: Pizza Crunchers, Breaded Tenderloin Sandwich, Corn, Veggie Bar, and Strawberries.

Today’s black history spotlight is on Marian Anderson. She was a black singer and American diplomat. Some of her notable accomplishments include being the first African-American to perform with the New York Metropolitan Opera, performing at Carnegie Hall starting in 1928, and being invited by Eleanor Roosevelt to sing at Lincoln Memorial.
