Student Life Peet Junior High

Today is Monday, April 30th a B Day.


May bus passes are now on sale at the Lunch Window.  The cost for a two way pass is $46.00 and a one way pass is $23.00.  Students who ride the bus and do not have a bus sticker on his or her ID, must purchase a bus pass by Friday, May 4th, as the bus drivers will be checking.


7th-grade track ladies who are going to the Hudson meet tonight, please check Schoology for the lineup and bus time. Those who aren't going to Hudson, you DO NOT have practice tonight. All athletes will travel to our meet tomorrow at Carver. Please check Schoology for that lineup and bus time.


Congratulations to the 7th-grade girl's shuttle hurdle team, Johnna Dieken, Katie Thompson, Alisyn Mueller, and Lindsey Stabenow, for breaking the school record at Thursday night's meet.


8th and 9th graders playing baseball, practice starts today at 3:30 at Robinson Dresser. There will be an activity bus from Peet to practice each day - bus 16.  If you are planning on playing baseball this summer and are in a spring sport you need to let Coach Williams know in Rm. 46. If you are interested in going out for baseball and have not signed up or have questions see Coach Williams in Room 46 or contact by email.


Attention Football Players:

Those interested in playing sophomore football should attend a player/parent meeting on tonight at 6:30 pm in the Cedar Falls High School Auditorium.  Information regarding summer workouts, summer weights, and the upcoming football season will be discussed.


Students, be thinking about what you might want to do for your Last Day Activity on Tuesday, June 5.  Activities you can pick from are:

  • Biking
  • The Falls
  • Gameroom
  • Movie: The Greatest Showman
  • Outdoor activities


If you do not have all of your work completed or time made up for detention, you will be assigned to the Detention/Workroom and you will not be able to participate.  Please make sure you have everything cleared up before the last day!!


You will sign-up starting today in your Tiger Time class.  Please tell your teacher what you would like to do and they will enter your activity in.  You have until Friday, May 11 to tell your teacher what you would like to participate in. NO CHANGES will be made after May 11 (with the exception of the detention/work room).

**If your student will not be here on the last day of school, please call the Peet Office starting now to let us know. We recommend you let us know by May 31 so we can collect books and Chromebooks.

This week, we are going to focus on how to build a good relationship. Having good relationships is important, whether with a friend, family member, or a significant other. But these connections aren’t built in a day. They take work and time. To build a healthy relationship, you need to have trust between you and the other. Some key elements to making a good relationships are mutual respect, open communication, and teamwork.
