Good Morning Peet Junior High!  This is Annie Brown with your morning announcements.

Today is Monday, September 11th a B Day.

On this date in 2001 beginning at about 8:45 am, a series of terrorist attacks destroyed the twin towers of the World Trade Center and severely damaged the Pentagon.  Commercial airliners were hijacked and flown directly into the three buildings. On this day we remember our fallen American heroes who tragically died as a result of these attacks.  I ask all of you to observe a moment of silence at this time in their honor.

We have a student that has misplaced their Samsung phone.  If you find this phone, please return it to the Media Center for a reward.

Are you interested in helping out people and animals affected by Hurricane Harvey and possibly Hurricane Irma?  If you are, please come to Mrs. Beneke's room (Room 30) during Tiger Time on Monday, Sept 11.  You will NOT be requested, all you have to do is ask your teacher to come to Mrs. Beneke's room.  Student leaders will discuss fundraising ideas and how Peet can help those in need.  Thanks.

Echoes will begin on Tuesday, September 12. If you plan on riding the Echoes bus home the first week you must sign up. A sign-up form has been posted on Schoology within the Peet Student Group. Complete the form to sign up. If you do not sign up for the bus the first week you will have to wait until week 2 to ride the bus home. See Mr. Green with any questions.

9th grade volleyball brought home the runner up trophy in a tough tournament on Saturday.  They will be in action again Thursday at West.

8th Grade volleyball will be dismissed at 2:40 today.

Today’s lunch will be: Walking Taco, Cheese Stick Dippers, Refried Beans, Sidekicks, Giant Goldfish Vanilla Grahams.
