PEET JUNIOR HIGH DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS

Today is Wedneday, February 1st a B Day.

The January winners of the Peet Pride award are Travis Redd nominated by Mr. Scannell, and Emma DeWitt nominated by Mr. Urbanek. Mr. Scannell writes:  Travis is one of the kindest, most respectful, and motivated kids we have.  He, by his nature, models how to do the right thing for his peers and staff members each and every day.  He is always willing to help and actively looks for ways to affirm others and show them they are valued.  We are lucky to have a guy like this in our halls. Mr. Urbanek said the following regarding Emma: From day one  as the new Assistant Principal, Emma DeWitt has gone out of her way to make me feel welcome at Peet as well as her willingness to volunteering for any job that is needed at our sporting activities. Emma always has a smile on her face or a brief hello when I see her in the halls. It is students like her that make my job enjoyable and the reason why I come to school everyday.  Congratulations to Travis and Emma.  We appreciate all you and others do to make Peet a great school.

The 9th Grade Boys Basketball team won over Cedar Rapids Prairie last night 60 to 44, and the 5th quarter score was Peet 5, CR Prairie 14. Nice effort guys!

Lost and found items are on a table in front of the Media Center.  Please take a minute to look at the tables for misplaced coats, boots, sweatshirts and other clothing.  Items not claimed by Thursday, February 12 will be donated.
