Lincoln Second Graders Attend Discovery Program at the National Dairy Cattle Congress Fair

Help from Home Depot

When the second grade teachers at Lincoln Elementary School needed materials for their new STEM unit 'Ramps & Pathways' the folks at Home Depot stepped in to help!  The Waterloo Home Depot provided a huge discount on the cove molding that was essential for the unit.  In addition to the financial assistance, they also cut the wood into the specific sizes needed for this learning opportunity. Honoring Our Arts Teachers

In honor of National Arts In Education Week, we would like to recognize the contributions of our Art, Vocal Music and Instrumental Directors. Workshop Wizards

We have officially kicked off the year by diving into our new reading curriculum that the district has adopted this year. It is a reading workshop method where students are taught a mini-lesson based on a reading strategy or concept, given independent time to read and apply the strategies and concepts they are taught, and then share with their peers what they learned and read about.
