Student Life Holmes Junior HighInterested in trying out for the 2019-2020 Dance Team? Tryouts start on March 13th! Practices will be March 13th & March 27th, with tryouts happening on March 30th. Go to cedarfallsdance.com/tryouts for more information about practice times and locations. Cedar Falls students 9th-12th grade for the 2019-2020 school year are eligible to try out.
Friday March 1st - Friday March 8th: There are now sign up sheets for 7th & 8th boys track in the weight room, the PE locker room, and Mr. Rottinghaus's room. Track starts the first day back from spring break on Monday, March 25th.
Friday March 8th- Monday March 11th: There will be a meeting for 7th & 8th grade boys track on Tuesday March 12th in the competition gym at 7:40.
For 7th grade girls interested in track, your meeting will be today during TT in room 44.
If you can not attend these meetings please see Mr Becker before you leave Friday
Any 9th graders interested in going out for Girls’ Soccer, there will be a parent/player mandatory meeting tonite at 6:00pm in the high school cafeteria. Please let Coach Place know before the meeting if you or your parent is unable to make it. <placea@uni.ed>
JV and JJV Tennis Announcements to be announced Friday 8th and Monday the 11th.
UPDATE: JV and JJV, practice on Monday, March 11th will be held at Holmes Jr. High School in the new gym 4pm-5:30pm. Plan to attend with proper sports attire, shoes and tennis racket. Make sure you bring your team dues and info sheet to the first practice, and your physical must be turned into the school nurse and you must bring us the slip of paper to release you to participate. Without the slip you will not be allowed to practice.
7th grade boys basketball players can pick up their pictures during TT in room 38
Band students: Seventh Grade Solo Festival is tonight. It is here at Holmes. Students should be dressed up and report to the cafeteria 10-20 minutes before their scheduled time. Mrs. Engelhardt will tune you and send you to your performance center. Please turn in your accompanist fee of $12 to the bookkeeper. Good luck!
Reminder that 7th and 8th grade girls interested in track need to sign up on schoology if they have not and stop in to see Mr. Becker if they missed the meeting. Make sure we turn in clothing order forms by Tuesday March 12.
