Friday will be Orchestra Lesson Day 3

Today is Day Four for band lessons


8th grade volleyball players that are ordering Metro Champs T shirts remember those orders need to be turned in to Coach Butler by the end of the day Friday.


Know Your Constitution Program 9th Graders: About one month remains to prepare your materials for submission to the Know Your Constitution Program. We will be meeting again on this Friday, the 26th in Mr. Kuker's room to continue our work. Please see him with any questions you may have.

Next week October 29 - November 1 Holmes Junior High will be participating in the district wide food drive for Northeast Iowa Food Bank. We will be running a Food Drive/Penny War competition between 1st Period Classes. The winning class wins a doughnut party. Your 1st Period teacher will share more info about this competition. If you are at the HS during 1st Period you will give your food and money donations to the Main Office. The CFHS will have a Trunk or Treat event Sunday, October 28th 1:00-3:00 in the North Parking Lot.



9th grade boys basketball will have an informational meeting today after school in Coach Rottinghaus' room, Room 45. You need to bring a parent e-mail address to the meeting. Please see Coach Rottinghaus if you can't make the meeting. If anyone is interested in being a manager for the team, please see Coach Rottinghaus for more information.


There will be a Girl's Soccer Meeting Thursday, November 1st at 3:30pm in the High School. The meeting will take place in Ms. Anderson's classroom. All 9-12 girls interested in high school soccer should attend this meeting. 9th graders are instructed to take the activity bus to the high school. One of the coaches will be waiting by the high school office for anyone who doesn't know where this classroom is. Please contact coach Alex Place if there are any questions.


Breakfast 101 will be held on the 4 Mondays in November as an Enrichment during Tiger Time. If you are interested in participating, the sign-up sheet is now posted outside the Foods Room door. It is limited to the first 16 students to sign-up. Please do so soon. You will then be requested on the appropriate days on the Tiger Time spreadsheet.


Join Mrs. Hoekstra and Miss Bisgrove for a service project where we turn breast cancer awareness into action by helping local survivors! We will meet during Tiger Time starting October 30th. Tuesdays in Makerspace and Fridays in Miss. Bisgrove's classroom. All are welcome!


Tea Time in room 9 has been moved to tomorrow. Tea time in room 9 will be on Friday of this week. Remember to bring in your cup or mug.
