9th Grade volleyball will have a change in practice today. We will practice in the new gym at Holmes from 4:30 to 6:30.

Student Council Elections for Officers will be Thursday, September 13th. We elect 5 people for the positions of President, Vice-President, Recording Secretary, Treasurer and Director of Public Relations. Candidates should demonstrate good character, maintain good academic standing, and remain committed to the responsibilities of Student Council.

The offices of President and Vice-President can only be held by 9th graders.Candidates for President must have served a minimum of one year on Student Council. An exception to that rule would be if the candidate was new to Holmes this year. The other three offices of Recording Secretary, Treasurer and Director of Public Relations could be held by a 7th, 8th or 9th grader.

Students interested in a Student Council Officer or Representative position may visit the Student Council webpage (Counseling tab) to submit an application. Applications must be completed by Monday, September 10th. The webpage provides additional information on officer responsibilities and campaign rules and expectations.  

Math Club will begin after school on Tuesday, September 11th in Room 42. We look forward to seeing you there!
