You should still be in your 1st semester classes.  We will start the new semester tomorrow.

Students and Parents:  Please visit the STEM Open House at Cedar Falls High School tonite. Come see student projects and learn about STEM course options in the Cedar Falls School District. The STEM Open House will be held from 5:30 to 7:15 PM in the PLTW classrooms, room numbers 30 and 31, in the lower level of the high school, below the gym.


Due to the school cancellation last week, MC auditions for Variety Show will be held TODAY at 3:30 in Mrs. Talbot's room. We will be done by 4:15. See you there!

There will be a Variety Show Tech Crew meeting in Mrs. Talbot's room after school TODAY from 3:10-3:30. Please see Ms. Cardamone with any questions. See you there.

Current Event Finals WILL take place today during Tiger Time in Mr. Dyvig's room. Members of all qualifying teams please be ready to begin at 10:35.

Congrats again to 9th graders Malvika Khadiya, Jacob Smothers, Moira Buie, and Zoe Edgington on being finalists for the Know Your Constitution program this year. They were honored at an awards luncheon in Johnston this past Friday. Zoe was also selected to receive a week-long all-expenses paid trip to Washington, D.C., next month. Congrats Zoe on this wonderful opportunity and special thanks to the Holmes students for representing their school so well.


Girl’s Soccer will have weight lifting Tuesday, Thursday and Friday this week (1/16, 1/18, 1/19) at 4:05 pm in the high school weight room. There will also be a mandatory meeting Thursday (1/18) for all girls interested in soccer grades 9th-12th at 3:20 pm. The meeting will be held in the high school cafeteria. There is open gym Monday (1/22) and Thursday (1/25) at 7:30 pm next week. All girls 7th-12th grade interested in soccer are invited to come play pick-up in the high school gym. Bring shin guards to open gym.


Art Club will be cancelled this week due to a scheduling conflict. We will meet again next week to finish our cardboard sculptures!
