The Holmes 9th grade football team secured a win against a good Dubuque Senior team on Thursday. It took big plays from all players on the team and four quarters of grit and determination. Great team win.
The 9th grade volleyball had a very productive weekend with a win against Columbus on Friday and going 2 in 2 in our tournament this past weekend in Waverly. Our next game will be Thursday at Home against Peet.
Each day this week, the Holmes social studies department would like to celebrate the ratification of the U.S. Constitution through a number of activities. We would also like to celebrate this document through some quotes from and about the Constitution as well. Our first quote for the week is as follows:
