Band students: Today is Day Three for band lessons. Remember to leave class a few minutes ahead of your time to have your instrument out and ready to go at your lesson time. You will need your instrument, lesson book, chromebook and planner.


Do you like finding patterns, solving problems, and learning new tricks? Join Math Club! Meetings will be on Tuesdays from 3:15 until 4:30 in Room #42. The club is led by Mrs. Hudson and Mrs. Newcomb. First meeting is September 12. Sign up via the link posted in the student group on Schoology!


Student Council  Applications  are due today.


Do you enjoy photography, graphic design, and/ or interviewing? Do you have a creative side? Join us every Wednesday during Tiger Time to help with creating this year’s yearbook for Holmes Junior High. Meet in Mrs. Adam’s room (room 17). See Mrs. Adam with any questions.


Yoga Plus starts today during Tiger Time. Meet us by the pool entrance.


Picture retakes will be next Monday, September 11th, starting at 8:30am.  This is for students and staff who missed pictures at registration and those who would like to have them redone.  If you are having them redone, please bring the originals with you.  Order forms are available in the front office.


Students attending the Tiger Football game this Friday night should use the Southwest Entrance of the Dome. You must have purchased an Activity Pass to get into the game free.  If you do not have your student ID you will have to pay full price.  Tonites theme is a USA out.  


Coach Chidester will meet with softball pitchers & catchers for next season this Sunday (Sept. 10), 4:30-6:00 at the high school gym. Use the rear entrance by the track.


Do you want to get outside and get your hands dirty? Want to try new foods? Join Garden Club! Our next meeting will be on Tuesday during Tiger Time. Meet in Room 14.


Junior Wildlife Society will have their first meeting of the year on Wednesday during Tiger Time. Wear walking shoes and be prepared to go outside. Meet in Room 14. Contact Mr. Welter if you have any questions.

Congratulations to the girls cross country team at the Bobcat Invitational!  As a team we finished 3rd.  Great efforts by all! Awesome job ladies!


8th grade Volleyball girls had their first game last night at Bunger. The girls all showed enormous effort and were able to win 5 out of 6 games. Way to go girls! Their next game is Monday against Hoover at home! Come out and support your 8th grade girls volleyball team!


Congratulations to the Boys and Girls Cross Country teams for a fantastic showing at Marshalltown last night! Special congrats to Brayden Burnett for place second in the boys' race out of a field of 202 runners, and to Taylor Kvale for winning the girls' race outright. Go Tigers!
