Student Life Holmes Junior HighStudents going on the cross country pep bus tomorrow, you need to have your parents call Holmes with permission and pay by 12:20pm today
Any 9th grade boys interested in going out for basketball this year, you need to sign up in the front office. There will be an informational meeting November 2nd at 3:15. Practice will start November 14th.
We are participating in a District Wide Food Drive for the Northeast Iowa Food Bank this week (October 24-28) The district has a goal of collecting 20,000 pounds of food.
Most Needed Items Include:
Foods high in protein such as canned meats (i.e., tuna, chicken, salmon), peanut butter, and canned or dried beans
Foods high in nutrients, such as canned fruits and vegetables
Whole-grain foods such as rice, cereal and pasta
Soups, chilies and stews
100 percent fruit juice
Shelf-stable milk
Personal Care Items such as toilet paper, bar soap, toothpaste/toothbrush
PLEASE NOTE: If you donate glass products, please box or bag them separately and label the box or bag “GLASS” on all sides.
We will also hold a Penny War between 1st Hour classroom. Fighting Hunger one penny at a time.
Any 9th grade girls interested in basketball this winter, there will be an informational meeting on Tuesday, November 1st, during Tiger Time, in the conference room next to the offices. Coach Grell will be here to give practice calendars and game schedules. The sign up sheet is still outside of Rm #1
The echoes program will not be running next week Oct 31st thru Nov 4th. It will start back up on Monday November 7th.
Attention October driver ed. students. The first day of class is Monday October 31st, Holmes Junior High, room 10, from 6:00-8:30 PM for the PM session only.
The AM session will start Tuesday, Nov. 1st, room 260 from 6:30-7:30 AM at Cedar Falls High School.
