STUDENT COUNCIL ELECTIONS

Student Council Elections for Officers will be September 14th. We elect 5 people for the positions of President, Vice-President, Recording Secretary, Treasurer and Director of Public Relations. Candidates should demonstrate good character, maintain good academic standing, and remain committed to the responsibilities of Student Council.

The offices of President and Vice-President can only be held by 9th graders. Candidates for President need to have served on Student Council for a minimum of one year. An exception to that rule would be if the candidate was new to the district this year. The other three offices of Recording Secretary, Treasurer and Director of Public Relations could be held by a 7th, 8th or 9th grader.

Students interested in a Student Council Officer or Representative position may visit the Student Council webpage (Counseling tab on the Holmes Junior High site) to submit an application or follow the link on Schoology. Applications must be completed by September 7th. The webpage provides additional information on officer responsibilities and campaign rules and expectations.
