Information Night for Parents of Incoming Kindergarten 2018-19

There will be an information meeting for parents and guardians of students who will begin Kindergarten in the 2018-19 school year at Cedar Heights on Tuesday, March 20 at 6:30 p.m. 

If you or a friend or neighbor has a child that will be 5 years old on or before September 15, 2018, they are eligible to begin school this fall, and we invite you to attend this parent/guardian only meeting.  Attendance at this meeting will help us begin planning for next school year, so we are sure to have adequate space, staff, and class resources and materials.  

During the meeting parents will have the opportunity to meet the Kindergarten teaching team, our counselor, our health office staff, as well as get information about our full-day kindergarten program.  Parents will also be able to complete registration packets, tour our school, and get to know some of the other parents of kindergartners.

Before you attend the meeting, we ask that you fill out our Incoming Kindergartener Information Form, if you haven't already done so.  Also we ask that you bring the following documents with you to the meeting:

• Household registration form
• Copy of child's birth certificate
• Current immunization record
• Residency documentation form as well as 2 forms as proof of residency
• Current physical/well-child exam
• Required home language survey form
• Race/ethnicity form
• Migrant form
• Preschool experience form, which can be downloaded here:  Kindergarten Preschool Experience.doc

As a reminder, this is a meeting for parents and guardians only. We will have a student visitation day on Wednesday May 16 from 9-11 a.m.
