Help Us Honor Veterans

Each month at Cedar Heights we focus on a different pillar of character as part of our Character Counts program.  In November we are focusing on Citizenship.  As part of our celebration of Citizenship, we will be honoring the veterans in our families.  We are putting together a hallway display to show the 5 branches of the military, and we need the help of our families!  We would like our families to write the name of a veteran in their family on a 3x5 notecard and the branch of the military where they served.  You may also write the relationship to and the name of the Cedar Heights student.  You may include a picture if you wish, but photos will not be returned.  We ask that you only have one veteran name per notecard.  You can send as many notecards as you have veterans in your family.  If you need notecards, please contact your child's teacher or the office.  Notecards can be returned to your child's teacher.

On your 3x5 notecard please include:

  • Name of Veteran
  • Branch of Military (Air Force, Marines, Army, Coast Guard, or Navy)
  • Relationship to Cedar Heights student(s).  (Optional)
  • Photo of Veteran (optional) (Photo will not be returned)

We will be collecting notecards through November 9.

Make sure that you stop by our "Veterans in Our Family" display during Parent-Teacher Conferences November 14 and 16

Thank you for helping us celebrate this very meaningful holiday.  We are excited to see how many veterans are in our Cedar Heights Families!Image title
