Student Life Cedar Falls High School

Announcements: Tuesday, February 5, 2019 A Day

Listen up junior leadership! We will have a meeting today (Tuesday) during 2nd shift Power Hour in room 160. We will be talking about everything prom, prom, prom! Please, do NOT miss this meeting. See you there!

The Cedar Falls Speech team took six performances to the State contest on Saturday. Three performances received straight ones, and three received split ones, but everyone received an overall one. One Ensemble Acting entry was nominated as an Outstanding Performer and will be attending All-State on February 16th. Congratulations to Ryan Westhoff and Malina Amjadi for your accomplishment with your scene from Doubt!

Reminder: Tomorrow, Wednesday, February 6 all students will be required to attend Power Hour with their assigned Power Hour teacher. This is the same teacher you reported to at the beginning of the school year. Please check your schedule to make sure you know which teacher you need to see, their meeting location, and when they have power hour support time. On this day, all students will report to their power hour teacher for 30 minutes and then have 30 minutes for lunch. The purpose of this is to begin creating your graduation story.

We would like to invite students, friends and families to a National Letter of Intent signing ceremony tomorrow morning, Wednesday, February 6 in the gym at 7:40 am. This is for senior athletes signing a National Letter of Intent to compete next year in College. If you're signing a letter on Wednesday and want to be included, please let Mr. Becker know in the athletic office.

Follow the Tigers: Girls' and Boys' JV and Varsity Bowling matches will begin at 3:15 pm at Maple Lanes in Waterloo; Girls' JV and Varsity Basketball games will begin at 6:00 pm at Dubuque Senior; Boys' Sophomore and Varsity Basketball games will begin at 6:00 pm at CFHS.
