TODAY is last day to make any schedule changes. Changes at this time will only be made for academic reasons. You need to to see your school counselor to get paperwork that will require parent and teacher signatures.
Starting today, Alternative Learning Time will be in the Tiger's Den after school from 3-3:50pm on Mondays through Thursdays. This program is for those seeking or required to attend for academic support as well as for those looking to make up detentions. Again, Alternative Learning Time starts today at 3:00 pm in the Tiger's Den.
Reminder: If you want to attend the Homecoming dance on September 29th, you MUST have all detentions made up before. With the dance being just a month away, now is the time to take care of those detentions. Detentions can be made up before school in the office or after school in the Tiger's Den.
Juniors and Seniors: Those who are returning with a final grade of an F in a class, or detentions to make up from last year, you are in an Assigned Power Hour. Make sure you attend your indicated Power Hour shift.
Please join Student Senate this Wednesday, August 29th at 7:20 am in the auditorium. We will be planning for our 2018 Homecoming.
The Cedar Falls FIRST Robotics Competition Team 525 will hold an information meeting in room 227 at the high school on Tuesday, August 28 at 7:00 PM. This meeting is open to all students in grades 9-12 that are interested in the team. Students and parents are invited to come to this meeting to learn about the STEM opportunities available in being part of the robotics team. Students not able to attend should contact Mr. Swartley for more information.
Attention Sophomores: Future leaders of the sophomore class are encouraged to apply for Sophomore Leadership, which focuses on building cohesiveness and a common spirit for the sophomore class through the use of service projects and social activities. Students are selected for this group through an application process. Please use the link on Schoology if you would like to apply. If you have questions, please email or stop in and see Mrs. Gruhn or Ms. Loyd.
Listen up Yellow team! Please, wear yellow on Tuesday of this week and get to know who else is on the yellow team. We will meet at the beginning of Power Hour in the gym to get a big group picture of the yellow team. If yellow team leaders could stay for a few minutes later after the picture, we would like to discuss team strategy. Also, yellow team, keep up with the new Yellow team Schoology group for updates throughout the year.
Class of 2019-- Senior Hand Wall is happening this WEDNESDAY. Visit outside by the track during any hour or Power Hour to leave your hand print and quote! Senior Leadership will hang on 2nd Floor for the year!
Attention, GRAY TEAM! All Gray Team teachers and students interested in planning activities and challenges should meet in the library Tuesday, August 28th during 2nd shift of Power Hour. All are welcome!
