This week is College Application Week. COME JOIN US TODAY DURING POWER HOUR IN THE AUDITORIUM 1ST OR 2ND SHIFT FOR A REDTAIL SIGHTING! ALL are WELCOME TO HEAR a panel of students from Hawkeye share what COLLEGE IS ALL ABOUT!!

SENIORS: Please fill out the College Application Sign Up Form ASAP! We have visitors coming this week from Iowa, UNI, ISU, Hawkeye, Kirkwood, Ellsworth, UNI ROTC, Wartburg. You need to sign up to come and see them to fill out a college application!!We have a lot going on Tuesday for College Application Week. Join us in the Tiger's Den during the morning (periods 1,2,3 or 4) for a presentation on the UNI ROTC program. What is ROTC and how can it help you pay for college and set you up for a great career with NO college debt!! ISU presentation will be 5th hour in the auditorium. The admissions counselor will be available 6th hour to help students fill out their applications. Have your social security number available to complete your application!!

Follow the Tigers: Boys' Varsity Golf District meet at 10:00am this morning at Pheasant Ridge Golf Course; Sophomore, JV and Varsity Volleyball beginning at 5:30 at Cedar Falls High School; Girls' Varsity Swimming/Diving meet at Dubuque Hempstead High School at 6:00pm.

Reminders: On Wednesday, October 11th we will be holding the Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test (PSAT) open to sophomores and juniors. If you'd like to learn more about the what the test is, how it can benefit you, and how to sign up please visit the link Mr. Wood posted on your Classes Schoology page. Deadline to sign up and pay is Friday, October 8th. We have a limited number of tests, so sign up will be first come, first serve.

Representatives from the following schools will be here this week to speak with interested students: Tues, Oct 3: Drake University and Iowa State University; Thurs, Oct 5: Hawkeye Community College and Kirkwood Community College. Students may sign up in counseling or through Schoology.Have you thought of continuing your education at Harvard, University of Pennsylvania, Stanford University, Georgetown University, or Duke University? If you said yes to any of those universities, there will be an informational session for you and your parents at Cedar Rapids Marriott (1200 Collins Rd. NE) on Thursday, October 5th at 7:00 pm.
