Attention sophomores and juniors: Next week, you will take the Iowa Assessments. Sophomores, you will test Tuesday morning in the gym. Juniors, you will test Wednesday morning. Please report to the gym at 7:50am so that we may start on time. You should bring pencils and a calculator, if you should choose to use one on the math test. There will be no guarantee that we will have extra calculators for you to use, so please try to remember one.
Students in skills classes: Sophomores will report to their skills teacher for testing on Tuesdaymorning and Juniors will report to their skills teacher for testing on Wednesday morning. If you have any questions, please ask Mrs. Denholm in the counseling office. Thank you for your cooperation!

Next Wednesday, March 29th, ALL JUNIORS will be taking the ACCUPLACER from periods 5-7. Please look over this information and be prepared! 
The ACCUPLACER is used for placement in our concurrent classes AND for community colleges. It is is an important test if you have signed up for a concurrent class that has a prerequisite and it is also good practice for a college entrance exam. It is an untimed test and you will take it on your Chromebook. You can also get a free study app to help you be prepared.

The CF Fellowship of Christian Athletes will meet today during B shift of Power Hour in room 214. All students are welcome to attend.

French club is changing meeting times. French club will now meet on Thursdays B shift of Power Hour in room 107. Join us for conversation, games, and culture!

DECA Students going to Nationals in Anaheim California will be having a Bake Sale in the Tiger's Den Friday morning from 7:30 to start of School.
Please come by and support these students as they are raising money to go to CALI!!

Teen Trust is seeking applications for membership on the 2017-2018 Board of Trustees. Teen Trust is a program under the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa which seeks to promote philanthropy among Black Hawk County teens. Trustees are responsible for learning about and participating in the grant making cycle. Trustees also learn about community needs, creating and distributing a grant application, and working together to decide which nonprofit organizations should receive a portion of the annual $10,000 available from the Youth Interest Fund. Members of Teen Trust are actively engaged in large group communication and learn valuable skills such as how to be a leader among leaders, in addition to participating in volunteer service throughout Black Hawk County. Students entering their sophomore, junior, or senior year in the fall of 2017 at a school in Black Hawk County are encouraged to apply. Applications are available at the Community Foundation website. Deadline for applications is Friday, April 14, 2017 (applications must be postmarked or received in the Community Foundation office by 5:00pm).

The Activity bus for spring sports will start today for women's golf, men's tennis and men's and women's soccer. Please look for bus # 30 by the Auditorium entrance of the high school. It will depart the high school around 3:15-3:20. It will go to Pheasant Ridge golf course, Robinson Dresser and behind the Dome for men's and women's soccer. There will be no return transportation.

A representative for Upper Iowa University will be here to speak with interested student on Monday, March 27 at 1:00. Sign up in counseling or through schoology.
