Mark your calendars for Friday, Feb 17th from 7-10pm. Student Senate will be hosting our 6th Annual Dance Marathon. This will be a fun filled night with activities such as Dodge Ball, Glow In the Dark Hide and Seek, 9 Square, Plinko, and dancing including our New Couple Dance off. Listen to announcements as tickets and tshirts will be going on sale soon.

Seniors: Join us Wednesday during Power Hour for the Financial Challenge! It is a great opportunity to win a $2000 scholarship! Students from 1st semester Math for Daily Living need to join us and finish the assessment!! See you there!

High School Girls - Tennis is a Spring Sport at the High School. If you are interested in playing High School Tennis this season, or would just like to learn more about the team - there will be a brief informational meeting with Coach Knox this Wednesday, February 1 at 3:05 in Room #106.

Seniors, are you looking for advice and help on beginning your scholarship search? It's an overwhelming process and can be frustrating, let your school counselors help. We'll be hosting a scholarship seminar on Thursday and Friday to help get you started and navigate your way through the scholarship search. We will help you identify where all of our local scholarships are listed, what scholarships you qualify for and how to apply. We will hold two Scholarship Seminar options for student to attend; A shift on Thursday OR A shift on Friday both in the auditorium.

Are you looking for a volunteer opportunity for work experience or your resume? The Volunteer Club will be holding a Volunteer Fair on Wednesday, February 1st. There will be information about various volunteer opportunities in the auditorium lobby throughout the day. Organizations will come in during Power Hour to talk more about volunteer opportunities.

CFHS is offering an ACT Prep Seminar for students looking for some extra preparation for the upcoming ACT Testing dates. Seminar information and sign up is posted on the main high school website. 

February bus passes are now available in the main office.

Juniors and Seniors: We will be offering the ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) on Wednesday, Feb 8, hours 1-4. This is a free test and can allow a student to learn more about career interests, etc. There is no military obligation with this assessment. The signup is posted on Schoology. If you have any questions, please ask Mrs. Denholm in the counseling office. Deadline is Friday, Feb 3.

We extended the order deadline for the annual Coaches vs. Cancer basketball games! Please help support this event by purchasing a Coaches vs. Cancer t-shirt. Order forms are on the CFHS webpage and on Schoology. Order by tomorrow, January 31 at 10:00 a.m. We’ll be wearing these t-shirts as we cheer on the Tigers against Waverly on Saturday, Feb. 4 for the men’s basketball game and on Tuesday, Feb. 7 for the women’s basketball game against Dubuque Wahlert.

Attention Senior Athletes:  If you are planning on participating in the National Letter of Intent Signing onWednesday, February 1st, please contact Mrs. Carter or Mr. Koenen in the Activities office by Monday, January 30th.  The National Letter of Intent Signing will be held next Wednesday during Power Hour shift A in the main gym.  If you have questions, please see us in the Activities Office.
