Congratulations to Aastha Chandra, Astoria Chao, and Jenis Jusufovic who were chosen as finalists in this years Know Your Constitution contest sponsored by the Iowa Bar Association, which requires students to complete a test and essay over the US Constitution. These students were honored at a luncheon in Des Moines on January 6th.
Students: If you have more than $20.00 in fines or more than 4 detentions you will be placed in assigned study hall to begin the 2nd semester until all obligations are taken care of.
A representative from Savannah College of Art/Design will be here on Thursday, January 19th at 10:30. Interested students may sign up in counseling or through schoology.

Juniors: Friday, January 13th is the deadline to register for the February 11th ACT. Go toWWW.actstudent.org to register. Also, please check out the flier in Schoology for information about the ACT and when you should take it. Please contact your counselor if you have questions. The April and June test dates are the most popular dates for juniors to take the ACT. The flier also includes information about ACT prep opportunities.
Attention Speech Team members: Please plan on attending an informational meeting about Large Group Districts on Tuesday, January 17th during B shift Power Hour. Attendance is mandatory. Please contact Mrs. McCawley with any questions.
Students please check your 2nd-semester schedules. Some classes may have been changed to a different hour since the beginning of the year. Make sure you have enough classes and PE. Schedule changes at this time are only allowed for students who have failed or need to fill their schedule. No other changes are allowed for 2nd semester. Thanks for your support.
