Interested In Starting Or Continuing A Lego League Team?

The Cedar Falls Schools will hold a training and orientation session for new coaches of FIRST Lego League or FIRST Lego League Jr. teams.  Returning coaches are also welcome to attend.  The session will be held from 8:30-11:00 AM, Saturday morning, September 10 at Cedar Falls High School.  Parents who are considering starting new teams yet this fall should contact Kenton Swartley (kenton.swartley@cfschools.org).

Introducing the Lincoln Safety Patrol!

We have a great group of students leading our Safety Patrol leaders this year at Lincoln! They have volunteered to help our students and families cross the streets safely each morning and afternoon. They are supported by Mrs. Kowalski as well as many other staff who help out each day. Thank you Safety Patrol team for putting first things first with student safety!

Coaches+serving+athletes Holmes Junior High

Tiger Kickoff

Mr. Meyer and several others went above and beyond the call of duty to set up the Tiger Kickoff for our fall athletes - of special note Stormy and Melissa gave of their own time to come back to help with the event and after the event was over at Holmes took meals to our 9th grade football players who were still practicing at Peet, our coaches who stayed around after the event to help our custodial staff clean up.  Thank you to all that helped and came.

Family and Consumer Sciences instructors are encouraged to be active in their community and profession. At the Iowa Family and Consumer Sciences Educators Conference on June 13th, Maxine Barrows (CFCS), Tammy Knox, Brenda Patterson and Megan Droste received the award called BEST in Iowa. 3rd Day of 3rd Grade

It was an awesome 3rd day of 3rd grade!  We did lots of "3" things today including comparing two different stories of the 3 Little Pigs, wrote 3 goals for this year, and celebrated by having bomb pops (3 colors!) at the end of the day!  This group of kiddos is so fun and so ready to learn, it's going to be a great year in 3rd grade!
